Flo-Tek manufactures a range of PVC Sewer products for various applications. We also have many fittings for use with our pipes.

SANS 791 UPVC Pipe

Flo-Tek’s PVC Sewer and Drainage pipes are made nominal sizes 110 mm to 500 mm intended for underground non-pressure applications in the construction of sewers and drains where temperates continuously in excess 60 °C are not encountered. Pipes are available with plain ends or with integral rubber ring socket. Flo-Tek’s Sewer and Drainage pipes are made following these two different classes.

  • Normal Duty: Class 51 (SDR 51): Pipe Stiffness 100 kPa
  • Heavy Duty: Class 34 (SDR 34): Pipe Stiffness 300 kPa.

Features and Benefits

  • Longer pipe lengths resulting in fewer joints to be made.
  • Sufficient longitudinal rigidity to enable pipes to be accurately laid to line.
  • Lighter weight pipes which is an advantage in manual handling.

Pipe Dimensions

All pipes are made to provide an effective length of 6.0 meters from 20 mm — 250 mm and 5.8 meters from 315 mm — 500 mm after installation; the outside diameters are the same for all classes of the same size and there are 2 classes of pipes. The minimum wall thickness and mass per meter are given in the table below.

SANS 1601 UPVC Structure Wall Pipe

Flo-Tek’s UPVC structure wall drainage and Sewer pipes are intended for buried gravity drainage sewerage pipe systems for transportation of soil and waste discharge of domestic and industrial origin. Pipes are available with plain ends or with integral rubber ring socket. Flo-Tek’s Sewer and Drainage pipes are made with three pipe stiffness classes; 100 KPa, 200KPa and 400 KPa.

Foam core sewer and drain pipes have a multi—Iayered structure as shown below. The three layers provide strength and resistance to soil loads. These pipes have smooth inner and outer walls and a middle layer consisting of dense cellular, foamed PVC having a high stiffness to weight ratio, providing weight and cost savings and higher pipe stiffness. Outside diameters are the same as solid wall pipes made to SANS 791. Foam core pipes are thus compatible with all moulded and fabricated sewer and drain fittings.

SANS 791 UPVC Fittings

Flo-Tek’s PVC Sewer and Drainage Fittings are made nominal sizes 110 mm to 160 mm intended for underground non-pressure applications in the construction of sewers and drains where temperates continuously in excess 60 °C are not encountered. Our fittings are available in the following ranges;

Fittings Standards

A range of injection moulded, rubber ring sewer and drain fittings are available in sizes 110 mm and 160 mm and are compatible with both solid wall (SANS 791) and foamcore (SANS 1601) sewer and drain pipes. The more popular fittings are shown in pictures.

Fabricated fittings either rubber ring or solvent weld are also available in sizes from 110 mm to 315 mm. These include long and short radius bends, junctions, reducing junctions, reducers, channels, etc.
